Ernest George Blackburn

Born in 1892 in Knapton to George and Eliza (nee Bell) Blackburn, but by 1901 was living in Work House Common, Neatishead and by 1911 was working as a Miller’s Assistant. He enlisted aged 24, and during his service wrote many letters to his mother. He returned home to work at Neatishead Mill.
