Richard Allard
Born in 1892 in Barton Turf to Richard and Martha (nee Scarland) Allard and had 14 siblings. He served with D Company, 7th Norfolk Battalion and fought at the Battle of the Somme but was killed in action on 12th August 1916, aged 23. He is remembered at Thiepval Memorial.
